Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Vern Stenlund and his sister Carol Kajorinne kindly offered to host an online art auction featuring over 50 of their original paintings as a fundraising project in support of the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame. Included amongst the works was a #4 jersey image signed by Bobby Orr.

The auction was held online from April 8th to April 23rd and a reception was held at the NWOSHOF on the closing night for the artists and their family and friends to watch the final bids come in. Close to $11,000 was raised through their fundraising project which will go towards helping to preserve and honour the regions sports heritage through the operation of the Sports Hall of Fame.
