Biography
One of Thunder Bay's most active sportsmen, Lorne Allard began coaching hockey in 1955, a hobby which continued for the next 30 years. He was also active as a baseball coach including Little League and Pony League. He contributed greatly to Track and Field as well as boxing and other sports including participation in the 1981 Jeux Canada Summer Games. An avid fisherman, Allard includes the art of Fly Fishing in his repertoire.
Inducted into the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, September 29, 1984
